Point Greetings The 2012 OUTDOOR SEASON is underway. It’s time to take a peek at plans for the months ahead as last year’s heroics fade and the question arises, “What’s in store to challenge my fishing and outdoor recreational whims and excitement?” Our web site is slowly awakening from it's off season nap...the Availability Page has been updated for 2012. This is Sunset Point. THIS is where you explore Mother Nature in comfort and style as we invite you aboard. Fishing is one excuse to experience the wilds at its finest. Fishermen and Families continue to answer the call of sport fishing with the added attraction of hiking, water sports, photography and pure getaway relaxation. The paved highway ends here and wilderness romance begins. THE WINNIPEG RIVER, MINAKI. A mystical river course where five lakes join hands: BIG SAND, Little Sand, Roughrock, Gunn and Pistol lakes. Shield Country: boreal forest and rock, towering pines, dwarf spruce, ribbons of moss and lichen, the glacial debris of boulders and granite cliffs. You share the voice of bald eagles and loons, the flight paths of great white pelicans, duck, geese and herons, the footsteps of bear, moose, deer, beaver and otter, AND you can battle trophy walleye, musky, northern pike and bass. This is where you join us for a complimentary island shore lunch cookout. Special!
